Mexicali, home of a great population of the ring-necked pheasant, is located in the northeast of Mexico, just below Calexico at the California/Mexico border. The valley consists of large and diverse sowing land, especially sorghum and cotton fiels which allows the pheasants to reproduce freely in a unique atmosphere anywhere in the world.

The hunt is made with the help of bird boys.
